Priyanka Gandhi, Sachin Pilot join Rahul-led Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra along with her husband and son joined Rahul Gandhi on Thursday during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, party's mass outreach programme which is currently going through Madhya Pradesh, for the first time since the foot march started in September. Priyanka Gandhi, her husband Robert Vadra and son Rehan were seen matching steps with Rahul Gandhi.

Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot also took part in the Bharat Jodo Yatra that resumed from Borgaon village in Madhya Pradesh this morning. Pilot has joined the foot march at a time when demands for the change of leadership have been raised again in Rajasthan, days before the yatra enters the desert state.

Addressing the public gathering in Burhanpur on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi said they walk for about eight hours and cover an average of 25 kilometres daily to listen to people's ‘mann ki baat’.

"We interact with people in between the Yatra. We hear people's 'Man ki Baat' for about eight hours and speak for about 15 minutes. Not like PM's 'Man Ki Baat', we listen to what is on the mind of farmers, youth, women, labourers and small-scale traders throughout the day," he said.

"We started this journey from Kanyakumari. When we started, the people of the opposition said that India is 3,300 kilometres long and it cannot be done on foot but now we have come to Madhya Pradesh, we will walk about 370 kilometres here. This Yatra will reach Srinagar and our tricolour will be hoisted there, no one can stop it," the Congress leader added.

The yatra will enter Rajasthan from Madhya Pradesh on December 4, after covering a distance of 380 km.

Snapdragon 782G is here as a SD778G+ replacement

Qualcomm's latest SoC is the Snapdragon 782G (SM7325-AF) just arrived and it's an iterative upgrade to the Snapdragon 778G+.

Similar to the SD778G+, the Snapdragon 782G is a 6nm chipset with an 8-core Kryo 670 processor, and an Adreno 642L.

The CPU has the same core setup as the 778G+ - 1 Kryo 670 Prime core (Cortex-A78) but runs up to 200MHz faster at 2.7GHz, 3 Kryo 670 Gold (also Cortex-A78) at up to 2.2GHz, and 4 Kryo 670 Silver (Cortex-A55) at up to 1.9GHz.

Thanks to the slight bump in clock speed, the CPU is around 5% faster, while the GPU is quoted as 10% faster than the Snapdragon 778G+.

Like the older SoC, the 782G brings Quick Charge 4+ (up to 50% in 15 minutes), the same Fused AI Accelerator architecture, the same Qualcomm Spectra ISP with triple 14-bit ISP support, and the ability to process up to 2 gigapixels per sec, and up to 200MP resolution support.

The modem is also the same Snapdragon X53 with Sub-6GHz and mmWave support, while FastConnect 6700 offers Wi-Fi 6 up to 2.9 Gbps, with ample capacity over the 6 GHz spectrum plus integrated Bluetooth® 5.2.

New Rules For International Passengers Arriving In India

The self-declaration forms for Covid vaccination that had to be filled in by incoming international passengers on the Air Suvidha portal, will no longer be necessary, the government has said. The decision will come into effect from midnight.

A notice from the Civil Aviation ministry this evening read, "In the light of sustained declining COVID-19 trajectory and significant advances being made in COVID-19 vaccination coverage both globally as well as in India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has issued revised 'Guidelines for International Arrivals".

Under the revised guidelines of the health ministry, the submission of self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal stand discontinued, the aviation ministry said. It, however, added a statutory warning: The rule could be reviewed if needed in view of the Covid situation.

The form on the aviation ministry's Air Suvidha portal was mandatory for incoming international passengers. In it, passengers had to declare their vaccination status, including the number of doses received and their dates.

This was in line with the rules in most nations.

The ministry, however, said it was preferred that the passengers be fully vaccinated. It was also preferable that all precautionary measures for Covid -- including the use of masks and social distancing at airports -- be continued.

Last week, the aviation ministry had said the use of masks was no longer compulsory during air travel, but passengers should use them to prevent another surge of coronavirus.

Till then, the use of masks in flights was mandatory.

The ministry said the decision was taken in line with the government's policy of a graded approach to Covid-19 management.

Over the last weeks, Covid figures have been shrinking. Official data this morning showed that currently, active cases (6,402) comprise 0.01 per cent of the total infections. The national  recovery rate has increased to 98.8 per cent.
